Hysert Greens was founded in 2004. It started as a small excavation company specializing in compact excavation.
Owner/operator Mike Swaerdens grew up in a greenhouse business, family owned and operated for 50 years, supplying most of Southern Ontario with garden plants and annuals to all the major garden galleries. As a teenager Mike found a love for machining and started in a factory manufacturing landing gear for all the commercial airlines. During the last four years in the shop, Mike started Hysert Greens as a side job on the weekends and when possible during the week. While operating heavy equipment from the family greenhouse business, Mike found his expert touch in operating equipment; from there, Hysert Greens took off. After 6 years of working solo, doing everything, he became knowledgeable and Hysert Greens began to expand; hiring employees and growing into property maintenance. Now along with excavating and landscaping, we cover all your property needs as well; weekly cutting/trimming, planting and pruning. Mike also has an extreme passion for snow plowing and deicing. With 15 years of plowing experience and 11 years as a company, he has never had a claim due to a slip, fall or accident. Mike is adamant in using top of the line equipment through all aspects of the business, which results in less down time, therefore always on time to you, our customers. We are fully licensed and insured ensuring safety for both our workers and our customers!
